If you believe your child is in immediate physical danger or was physically attacked in or out of the school setting by pupils, then consider taking the following actions:
1. Call 101 to report the matter to the police. Make a note of the incident number you are given.
2. Visit the doctor or hospital if injuries were sustained. Photograph these for records.
3. Do not get in touch by any means with those involved in the bullying; matters can worsen.
4. Do not send your child to school until you have received written assurance from the school that they are in control of the situation.
5. Inform your child’s school about any absence as a result of the bullying by telephone and in writing.
